    NOTE: This section answers questions that are common to all programs.
  Q:
After installing the program successfully, I discovered that recitation of the Qur’anic verses does not work while sound is working fine with the other applications.
  A:
This problem usually happens when a screen saver is pre-loaded while running the Setup program. To solve this problem, either you disable the screen saver temporarily and run Setup again or you fix it manually by doing the following steps:
  • Exit Windows to DOS mode.
  • Copy files under C:\Program directory\Win\*.* to C:\Windows\System.
  • ake sure that the following lines are available in the file C:\Windows\system.ini:
      [drivers]
      midimapper = midimap.drv
      wavemapper = msacm.drv
      MSACM.imaadpcm = imaadpcm.acm
      MSACM.msadpcm = msadpcm.acm
      NOTE‎ : If not present, please add them to the [drivers] section in the file.
  • Restart Windows and try the recitation again.

  Q:

  Q:
I am using the program under Windows 95. Recently, it started to cause a total system hang-up. When I try to display any Surah, the Qur’an page tries to open up on the screen and during that it stops and the whole system hangs.
This problem did not happen when I first bought the program but I probably installed some software that may have installed an old/newer system DLL. Even, I installed the program under Windows NT 4.0 workstation on the same system (it has dual boot) and it works OK.
  A:
To avoid such conflict, please do the following:
From the Control Panel, select “System”, then “Performance”, click the “Graphics” button, and set Hardware acceleration to “None” or “Basic” (“Most” or “Full” will hang up the system).

  Q:
The program would not display the tool bar properly. The lower bar in the display screen appears in the middle of the page hiding the display of Qur’anic verses.
My system specifications: Pentium 200, 32 MB RAM, ATI 3D Rage Pro (DirectX) VGA card, Windows 95 (OSR2).
  A:
You can fix the problem by changing the display settings as follows:
  • Select “Display” from the Control Panel.
  • Select “Settings” tip.
  • Change “Center dialog boxes” option to “OFF”.

 The Holy Qur’an
  Q:
I am using V 7.0 of the Holy Qur’an program.
The first CD-ROM is working well but when inserting the second one to listen to the other reciter, the following message appears: “This CD-ROM is not approved”.
  A:
This version of the Holy Qur’an program is protected and it always expects you to insert CD-1 to check the protection signature. So, you should start the program with CD-1 inserted, after that you can put CD-2 instead.

  Q:
When I run the Holy Qur’an program under Win 3.1, recitation of some long verses does not work fine. It starts reciting the first few words and then stops without reaching the end of the verse.
  A:
Long verses may have a problem if the virtual memory used by Windows is not large enough. You need to adjust Windows settings to increase the virtual memory as follows:
  • First of all, you have to check if there is enough free space on the hard disk or not. You need about 40 MB of free space. This space is used by Windows as a temporary storage.
  • Open the “Main” Window.
  • Click the “Control Panel” icon, then select “386 Enhanced”.
  • Click the “Virtual Memory” button.
  • Click the “Change” button.
  • Change the “New Size” item at the bottom to be more than 15000 KB.
  • Confirm your selection and restart Windows.
  • Now, you can try the recitation again.
